OUR CLUB

Founded in 1971, Golden City Football Club are an amateur soccer club from Bendigo, Victoria and currently competes in the Football Victoria Greater Bendigo League.

We were a founding member of the Bendigo Amateur Soccer League (BASL), and in 2021, the club celebrated its 50th Anniversary. We are now a founding member of FV Greater Bendigo.

Golden City has more than 300 members playing in Senior, Competitive Junior and Junior competitions. We have strong female representation, around double the national average, and an ethnically diverse membership, with many players from Bendigo's Karen community.

Our home ground is Shadforth Park, North Bendigo, and is used by all our teams for training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights and for match days on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season from March to September.

We have a long and proud tradition in the local community, and our mission is to be an inclusive and supportive club, where our members, families and friends develop a love of football in a welcoming, encouraging and fun environment.
